The first IBCLC- run lactation consultancy clinic in Egypt was established in the Center of Social and Preventive Medicine (CSPM), Cairo University Hospitals in February 2003, where breast feeding support and management is provided by IBCLC physicians.

Uses standard sheets and        protocols.

The clinic has been providing   clinical training for the               International Board of               Lactation Consultants Exam     (IBLCE) candidates since 2004.

Provides training and lactation management knowledge for both peditric and community medicine postgraduates as well as nursing school undergraduates of Cairo University since 2006.

The clinic also hosts research  studies conducted by medical  & non medical researchers       from different universities.
